Casino Royale (2006)

Casino Royale is the first James Bond movie that actor Daniel Craig starred in back in 2006. Casino Royale is about Bond’s affair with Vesper Lynn, a woman who he came into contact with. The movie is centered on a luxurious casino, Casino Royale and the mastermind behind it is villain Le Chiffe (played by Mads Mikkelsen). Also the movie left off with a man behind the Quantum project, Mr. White (Jeffrey Wright).
Furthermore, the movie deals with Bond’s loyalty and trust to M (Judi Dench) and Bond spending time with Vesper (Eva Green) in Venice, Italy before she was killed as a result of drowning.

The movie has a lot of romantic sexual scenes. Also the movie has a lot of great action sequences, fight scenes and some dark humor between Bond and Vesper. The music is perfectly played and draws the audience into the movie, into Bond’s actions and motivation behind “Casino Royale” affair.
The movie has a great cast of characters and a well-told story of Daniel Craig’s James Bond and his likeable persona and charisma as well as charm and a sense of the unexpected with Bond as we follow his struggle and his treacherous quest of self-discovery and his trust to M.
The movie has an assemble cast including Daniel Craig as James Bond, Eva Green as Vesper Lynn, Mads Mikkelsen as Le Chiffre, Dame Judi Dench as M, Giancarlo Giannini as René Mathis, Claudio Santamaria as Carlos, Joseph Millson as Carter and more.

Casino Royale introduces James Bond before he holds his license to kill. But Bond is no less dangerous, and with two professional assassinations in quick succession, he is elevated to '00' status. Bond's first 007 mission takes him to Uganda where he is to spy on a terrorist, Mollaka. Not everything goes to plan and Bond decides to investigate, independently of MI6, in order to track down the rest of the terrorist cell. Following a lead to the Bahamas, he encounters Dimitrios and his girlfriend, Solange. He learns that Dimitrios is involved with Le Chiffre, banker to the world's terrorist organizations. Secret Service intelligence reveals that Le Chiffre is planning to raise money in a high-stakes poker game in Montenegro at Le Casino Royale. MI6 assigns 007 to play against him, knowing that if Le Chiffre loses, it will destroy his organization. 'M' places Bond under the watchful eye of the beguiling Vesper Lynd. At first skeptical of what value Vesper can provide, Bond's interest in her deepens as they brave danger together and even torture at the hands of Le Chiffre. In Montenegro, Bond allies himself with Mathis MI6's local field agent, and Felix Leiter who is representing the interests of the CIA. The marathon game proceeds with dirty tricks and violence, raising the stakes beyond blood money and reaching a terrifying climax.

  1. Hi,

What do you think about this new James Bond version compared to the older version such as Goldfinger?
Is the acting better or worst? And what about the plot.
    Looking forward to your comparison.
